•C) Tobacco smoking cessation
•Correct!
•The USPSTF recommends that clinicians ask all adults about tobacco use, advise them to stop using tobacco, and provide behavioral interventions and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)–approved pharmacotherapy for cessation to nonpregnant adults who use tobacco.
•This may or may not directly relate to your patient, but should be reviewed for appropriateness.
•Patient’s who smoke should clearly be counseled about cessation.
•Some institutions insist even that patient’s who don’t smoke should still be counseled to remain smoke-free.
•Remember: This consideration extends to other forms as well (including pipe smoking, vaping, etc.)
